Energy Code Compliance Options
After attending the course, attendees will:
- Identify the different compliance path options outlined in the ECCC NYS 2015;
- Recognize the advantages and the disadvantages of each compliance path;
- Describe plan submission requirements as a function of the compliance path, including field testing requirements.
This course is designed to provide participants with a practical knowledge as to how the new ECCC NYS will change submission guidelines for developers, builders, and trades. This course will cover the differences between the several different pathways that have been outlined by the new code requirements, and key differences between the previous code iterations and the 2013 code. The logic underlying the selection of one path vs. another will be included, along with the advantages and disadvantages each path represents.
This course will include information on both residential and commercial plan submission requirements, with the emphasis on commercial, but to include residential as well.
